Welcome to the inaugural episode of The Cast In Order Of Appearance, a (hopefully) bi-weekly podcast chronicling the theatrical history of Michael C. McGreevy. Episode 1 includes an introduction of the show and why I’m doing it, along with the story of the first time I ever sit foot on a stage in a speaking role.

Show notes are behind the cut.

  • The opening bumper music is from the song Ball and Chain by Social Distortion
  • John Cecil is a writer, director and producer who now lives in New York City. He has several films to his name along with a pretty spiffy web series that you can check out over at goodgame.com
  • If you haven’t seen Marathon Man I highly suggest you check it out.  “Is it safe?”
  • Wil Wheaton is pretty much one of my celebrity crushes right now and has really motivated me to do something more with my art. Check out his blog, follow him on Twitter, and make sure you listen to Memories of the Futurecast and Radio Free Burrito.
  • Pardon Me, Is This Planet Taken? is a really real show that was written by author John Jakes (probably best known as being the author of the North and South series). It appears to be out of print and hasn’t been produced anywhere since the  early1980′s, so I’m gonna go out on a limb and assume it’s probably as bad as the title implies.
  • The show closed with a brief clip of the song “After All These Years” from Pericles : Prince of Tires by Joe Popp

  1. Hey Michael, nice show! I just wanted to stop in and say hello, I too have a show over at blogtalkradio.com (The Neverhood) and just had Davy Jones of The Monkees on for 30min. It’s a Celeb. talk show. Currently I am up to episode #7 and #8 (Maybe with American Idol “Adam Lambert”) is in the works. Keep moving forward Michael, and I’ll tune in to your next one as well.
